Reed close to Blackburn switch

Blackburn Rovers are closing in on the loan signing of Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed, according to Sky Sports.

Rovers boss Tony Mowbary is still keen to bring in fresh faces as they look to continue their fine start to life back in the second tier.

Reed has played thirty times for the Saints since breaking into their first team though he has played just four times in the Premier League over the past three campaigns.

He spent last term on loan at Norwich City, playing forty-three times in all competitions while he scored his first ever professional goal in a 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers last August.

Internationally he was capped thirteen times for England’s U20s between 2014 and 2015, having also represented his country at U19 level.

Blackburn are yet to lose this season and welcome Brentford to Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon, with the home win priced at 19/10.
