Manchester City beat Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal clash at the Etihad on Tuesday, with Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden on target, while Marco Reus scored the only goal for the visitors.
However, in the 37th minute, with the score standing at 1-0 to City, Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham pounced on a mistake from Ederson Moraes and broke free towards the gaping goal, but referee Ovidiu Hategan blew the whistle just as he was about to score, and gave a foul on the City goalkeeper, booking Bellingham for it.
Needless to say, the moment caused a lot of talk, with Dortmund players believing they were robbed of a perfectly valid goal.
