Referee Inadvertently Scores Goal During Penalty Kick in Dagestan Regional League Game (Video)

Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Referee of the game between Manas and Keyes DD caught plenty of attention from the internet community after he scored a brilliantly laughable goal during a penalty kick.

The home side – Manas – were trailing against their rivals in Dagestan amateur league when a penalty was given in hope to get back into the game. In a split second the fans went from despair, as Keyes DD goalkeeper pulled off a great save, to laughter and utter joy as the ball ricocheted off the ref’s head and into the back of the net.

It is understood that the goal stood, making it vital effort in a dramatic 4-4 draw.
