Already suspended referee Mark Clattenburg could be sacked by the Professional Game Match Officials Board after a number of incidents relating to his life outside of football.

Referee Clattenburg was suspended from refereeing in August after having been accused of sending a threatening message to a business associate over a legal dispute.

It was also revealed by the authorities who had seized his computer that he had been visiting a number of gambling sites.

The thirty three year old referee, who was said to have a promising career ahead of him, is expected to meet with the Professional Game Match Officials Board early in the New Year.
