Catalan daily newspaper El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina can be signed for mere €5 million.
The Reds’ decision to loan the shot-stopper to Napoli suggested that the Spaniard did not have a future at Anfield, and he is almost certain to leave the club next summer.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, Reina’s agent has been told by Liverpool officials that his client can leave for mere €5 million at the end of the current campaign.
And while Napoli are likely to try and turn his loan move into permanent deal, Barcelona are also expected to pounce as they search for a successor to Victor Valdes.
It was at Camp Nou that Reina began his professional career and he has hinted that a return to Catalunya is a realistic possibility.
Barcelona may be just one point clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid, but they are 1/3 favourites to lift the league title.
