As claimed by Corriere dello Sport, Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina is set to complete a move to San Siro after undergoing the medical ahead of the transfer.
The 35-year-old shot-stopper has had issues with his current club regarding the length of the new contract that was being offered to him. On the other hand, Milan are aware of the possibility of losing Gianluigi Donnarumma as several big clubs have already been reported to be interested in the young Italian. They are willing to offer Reina a three-year deal, which he obviously deems to be enough.
Reina spent eight years at Liverpool, making 394 appearances between the posts for the Reds, and was loaned out to Napoli for a season in 2013. A year later, he was sold to Bayern Munich where he served as a backup option for Manuel Neuer for a season, and in 2015 he returned to Napoli on a permanent deal.
