Napoli boss Edy Reja believes Daniele Arrigoni has what it takes to turn things around at Bologna.

Bologna has had a terrible start to their season and has now lost four games in a row. Many believe Bologna coach Arrigoni now faces the axe following their 1-0 defeat at home to Napoli on Sunday.

“He is one of the best prepared Coaches around,” Reja told Stadio.

“I like the work he is doing and I really respect him, so it would upset me if the club didn’t give him time.

“He has built an excellent relationship with the players and that needs to be taken into account.”

Bologna chief Renzo Menarini insists they trust that Arrigoni can turn things around.

“The Coach won’t be going anywhere,” Menarini told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We all trust him and the result of the game against Inter next weekend won’t affect our strategy.

“We believe that our team has the ability to climb the table without making any changes and so we aren’t worried.

“Arrigoni’s decisions aren’t up for debate and I certainly don’t have the credentials to question him.

“We were punished for one defensive lapse against Napoli because it was a 0-0 game and we at least deserved a draw.”
