Lazio manager Edoardo Reja anticipates Sunday’s clash with Chievo will be a crucial match for his side’s Serie A aspirations.
Lazio are seven points behind league leaders AC Milan in fourth place, but the 65-year-old boss has his eye on their 10th-placed opponents at the Stadio Olimpico.
“Well, first of all we’ll be playing against a team which is undergoing a very positive period. They are very well structured and have changed the tactical structure compared to how they have played before against Napoli and therefore they are very good from the tactical point of view,” Reja said.
“As far as the players are concerned, they’re not only prepared from the tactical point of view, but they’re also very good to run. The club is also to be admired, since they also plan the tactical aspects and have always the right coaches able to make this kind of game.”
“This team has to be faced with the right spirit, attention, and the ability to run, since they are able to create difficulties, you have problems from this point of view. They are able to play 90 minutes at a high tempo, with the right aggressiveness and speed and therefore it is a difficult team to face.”
