Lazio coach Edy Reja fears experienced striker Miroslav Klose could be unavailable for the rest of the season due to a thigh problem.
The Germany international sustained the injury during a training session about three weeks ago, and has since been working on his recovery.
The 33-year-old recently stated he was confident of being match fit in time for Euro 2012, but Reja believes that he could already have played his last game of the Serie A campaign.
“There is a chance that Klose’s season is already over,” Reja told Corriere dello Sport.
“I still hope that he will be back for the past two games or so, but it is by no means a certainty that he’ll return this campaign.”
Klose joined Lazio from Bayern Munich at the start of the current campaign and has since featured in 26 Serie A games.
