Reja ready for Udinese test

Lazio manager Edy Reja said he is eyeing all three points when his side take on Udinese in Serie A on Sunday.

Reja’s men, who sit fourth in the table, could leapfrog third-placed Udinese with a win at the Stadio Olimpico, and will enter the fixture on the back of a four-game unbeaten run.

Reja said little has split his side from Udinese in the past 12 months, but said he felt his side had a greater injection of talent from last season which should see them over the line on Sunday.

“It is impossible to say that the form of Udinese and Lazio is surprising, since both of us have ended last year’s championship around 4th and we think we have added better quality and experience and up to now the results are showing that this season,” Reja said.

“The same goes for Udinese. Right now they’re the in-form team and are (the) best team of the championship since they have won most matches. If I’m not mistaken, they have won nine matches; therefore they have won more matches compared to the other teams. ”

“They have 30 points, but we’re very close to them and wish to make better than last year, when they have been allowed to the Champions League and we have qualified for the Europa League. Right now we’re having both great satisfactions and my wish would be to defeat them and go above them in the table.”

“This would represent an important revenge, even if this is not determining in the championship right now. But if we managed to defeat Udinese, we could increase even more Lazio’s value.”
