Competition: Premier League
Market: Sunderland to stay up
Odds: 6/4 @ 888 Sport
Sunderland have endured yet another disappointing season, which cost the job of former manager Gus Poyet. The Black Cats are in another relegation battle after 30 Premier League games, and their chances of survival appear slim. With just eight matches to play this campaign, the North-East outfit are just one place and one point above the drop zone at the business end.
New manager Dick Advocaat has already been credited with an improvement of spirit in the camp, but they are still yet to win a game under him so far, so there’s plenty of work to be done. Their form has been woeful at a crucial time of the campaign too, and it’s somewhat of a near impossible task to breed results in a side that have picked up only four wins from 30 league games.
As a result of such woeful form at the end of the current season, Sunderland are being tipped for relegation, with 888 Sport giving odds of 6/4 for the Black Cats to go down. They have been close for a number of campaigns, but might struggle to perform any heroics this time round.
