Marseille striker Loic Remy insists it is dangerous to underestimate Arsenal ahead of their back-to-back Champions League encounters.
The talented attacker has seen his side take a maximum six points from their opening two matches to sit top of Group F, but believes his team-mates need to be wary of Arsenal despite their inconsistent form in the Premier League so far.
Marseille host Arsenal at the Stade Velodrome on Wednesday before travelling to London in two weeks time to face the Gunners again, and Remy was sure the English side would prove a much tougher prospect in Europe.
“We must remain humble in relation to their situation,” the 24-year-old told Marseille’s official website.
“The Champions League is an entirely different competition and Arsene Wenger’s team will have the desire to make amends.”
“If we manage to successfully negotiate Wednesday’s game and the fourth match day, then we can say that it has gone well.”
“We proved that we could respond in big games such as when we played Dortmund. We have the necessary capacity and quality to play such teams.”
“Everyone sees us winning easily – but Arsenal remain a team who can play extremely well and therefore we will be wary.”
