According to L’Equipe, France international Loic Remy is set to join Lille from Spanish club Las Palmas. Remy, 31, has bounced around a series of clubs throughout the course of his career, but now, it finally seems as if he’s re-discovering the kind of form that put him on the map in the first place. Remy moved to Las Palmas last year, and both with that side and with Getafe, he managed to find some consistency amidst a sea of doubters.
Remy’s move to Marseille back in 2010 brought the eyes of the football world onto him, before an odd move to Queens Park Rangers and then Newcastle United established him as a rising talent in European football. Unfortunately, his move to Chelsea didn’t really go to plan, and over the course of his three-year stay at Stamford Bridge, he failed to make much of an impact on the first team in the Premier League.
