Remy one step closer to Spurs move?

According to Talk Sport, Tottenham could be a step closer to signing their transfer target Loic Remy from Marseille after the striker admits he remains unsure about his future.

Remy scored 12 times in Ligue 1 last season and is being monitored by many clubs around Europe, however Spurs seem to lead the way.

Andre Villas Boas is on the lookout for a new striker as a permanent move for Emmanuel Adebayor looks to have fallen through.

Although his future is not clear at the moment, Remy insists his main focus is on getting fit for the new season: “We’ll see if it’s time for me to go but, after last season, I want to confirm I am really focused” he said.

Marsielle are set to fight tooth and nail to keep their star man at the Stade Velodrome as they look to challenge for the title in the French top flight. That said though, it is always tough for a club to stop a player joining the English Premier League.

The North London side have been linked with 25-year-old for some time now and it looks as though he could finally make the move to White Hart Lane.

Remy may feel as though he still has a job to do at his current club though and will know what a massive decision in his career this is.
