The 20-year-old Portuguese sensation Renato Sanches, who made a huge break onto the international scene at the Euro 2016, is edging closer to Benfica return.
Bayern Munich midfielder has endured a torrid time since leaving Benfica in 2016 and the Bavarians are now prepared to let his return to his boyhood club in an effort to revive his career.
Having failed to establish himself as a first-team regular in Munich during the 2016/17 campaign, the talented winger was shipped out on loan to Swansea City the next year.
Sanches largely struggled to show his worth in Wales failing to score or provide an assist in 15 appearances. A hamstring injury kept him out of action since the end of January which only made his time with the Swans worse.
Portuguese media outlet Abola are quoting a report from the Kicker, claiming that Bayern Munich have given Sanches a green light to seal his Benfica return this summer.
A loan deal back home is hoped to get the best of Renato Sanches who was a vital part of Rui Vitoria side’s Primeira Liga and Taca de Liga double in the 2015/16 season.
