According to a recent report from Marca, Arsenal may get the opportunity to sign Thomas Partey with Atletico Madrid needing funds to try and secure the signing of Marc Roca.
The Espanyol man has been heavily linked with a switch over to Atletico, but they aren’t quite as fortunate when it comes to transfer funds – at least, not in comparison to their La Liga rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Partey has been tipped to head over to the Premier League for quite some time now with Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers being the two leading contenders to secure his signature. Whether or not he actually wants to make that jump is a different matter, but it doesn’t feel as if Atletico Madrid consider him to be someone they absolutely cannot lose.
The transfer window is going to still play a factor in the world of football beyond the next few weeks, and fans need to realise that.
