Rennes coach Frederic Antonetti has hinted that star midfielder Yann M’Villa will be allowed to join a big European club at the end of the season.
The France international is one of the hottest commodities in European football and he has been linked with Manchester United, Milan and Manchester City, among other clubs.
Les Bretons somehow managed to keep hold of their prized asset in January, but it appears that they are ready to cash in on him.
Rennes boss Frederic Antonetti wants M’Vila to help the team as much as possible before he is allowed to leave Stade de la Route de Lorient.
“This is the idea: M’Vila can play for a top eight European club and we won’t deprive him of that chance”, Antonetti told French radio station RMC.
“But I want to tell him that he must help us to get as high up as possible in order that he can leave with his head held high.”
Rennes currently occupy 5th place in the Ligue 1 standings, but they are just three points behind the Champions League places.
Their star player Yann M’Vila has started all 27 league games this season and while he failed to get on the scoresheet, the midfielder did set up two goals for his teammates.
