Rennes centre-back Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik has confirmed that he is a target for Italian giants AC Milan.
The Rossoneri are searching for a new centre-back after Thiago Silva completed a €42 million move to Paris Saint-Germain and Alessandro Nesta also left the club.
The Italian giants have already signed Francesco Acerbi from Chievo, but they plan to sign at least one more central defender.
Milan were rumoured to be tracking Rennes defender Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik and the talented stopper admits that he is aware of the interest from San Siro.
“They have been following me closely for two years, but for now, there is nothing official,” the Cameroonian said to L’Equipe.
“We’ll see what happens, but for now, I’m here.”
The 22-year-old is the product of world-famous Le Havre youth academy and he was signed by Rennes for a fee of €2.5 million in the summer of 2010.
The youngster immediately established himself as a first team regular at Stade de la Route de Lorient, and featured in 62 Ligue 1 games during the two seasons with les Bretons.
