L’Equipe is reporting that Rennes are preparing a bid for West Ham midfielder Alou Diarra.
Los Bretons are searching for midfield reinforcements after star player Yann M’Vila joined Rubin in a €12 million move.
They have been alerted by the availability of West Ham midfielder Alou Diarra, and hope to sign the player on loan until the end of the season.
Rennes are looking for an experienced player who would be able to slot straight into the starting line-up at Stade de la Route de Lorient and Diarra fits the profile.
The France international revealed earlier this week that he was looking to leave Boleyn Ground in search of first team football.
It is highly unlikely that West Ham boss Sam Allardyce will stand in his way, after the player made just three Premier League appearances this season.
Prior to joining the Hammers from Marseille, Diarra was considered one of the best holding midfielders in France.
