Ligue 1 side Rennes claim an unnamed Premier League club have made an official offer for star midfielder Yann M’Vila.
Arguably one of Europe’s most talented footballers was paired with Arsenal and few other high-profile clubs in the past and he is widely expected to leave Stade de la Route de Lorient this summer.
Rennes boss Frederic Antonetti earlier admitted M’Vila was likely to leave in the summer transfer window and club president Frederic de Saint-Sernin claims the club have received a concrete offer from England.
“He has a very concrete offer from England,” Saint-Sernin said to Canal+ following Rennes’ defeat to Lyon on Saturday.
Les Bretons feel this is the right time to cash in on their star player and are ready to sell him to the highest bidder, with the latest statement coming from club president likely to spark a real bidding war for the 22-year-old.
Despite his fragile age, M’Vila already has more than 100 appearances in Ligue 1 behind him, as well as 22 France caps.
