Ligue 1 giants Rennes have announced on their official website that they have agreed to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Sylvain Armand.
The 32-year-old will join les Bretons on 1st July after successfully passing a medical, but details of the deal were not disclosed.
Armand had a contract until June 2014 at Parc des Princes, but was eager to leave to be closer to his wife, and that was one of the reasons he opted for Rennes.
Bordeaux, Saint Etienne and Nantes had also been showing interest in the experienced defender.
He will be welcomed at the club by new boss Philippe Montanier, who has agreed to take over the reigns at Stade de la Route de Lorient despite clinching Champions League qualification with Real Sociedad.
Sylvain Armand joined Paris Saint-Germain from Nantes nine years ago and he has since managed 10 goals in 267 Ligue 1 appearances for the Saints.
