Ligue 1 outfit Rennes have announced the capture of talented midfielder Rafik Guitane from Le Havre.
The 18-year-old is yet another product of the club’s famous youth academy and les Bretons clearly believe he has the potential to develop into a world-class footballer.
This was the reason they decided to splash €10 million on the attacking midfielder, who is tipped to become the next Ousmane Dembele, as both players were born in Evreux and joined Rennes at a young age.
Guitane made a total of 11 league appearances for Le Havre this season, producing 1 goal and 2 assists, which is a decent return considering he only started two of those fixtures.
The youngster has so far represented France at U17, U18 and U19 levels, while he also has offers to switch his allegiance to Morocco and Algeria.
