Chelsea reportedly want a decision from Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill on his big-money move within 24 hours.
The Daily Mirror claims Blues manager Andre Villas-Boas and club chief executive Ron Gourlay are running out of patience with the England centre-back and will move on to other targets if a deal cannot be completed soon.
The paper puts Chelsea’s five-and-a-half year deal at 22 million pounds, with a seven million-pound fee already agreed with English Premier League rivals Bolton.
The report claims there have been no rival bids from Manchester United or Manchester City, but Cahill, 26, continues to delay and met Bolton manager Owen Coyle and chairman Phil Gartside on Wednesday.
Chelsea are keen to reinforce their defence due to the likely departure of Brazil international Alex, who handed in a transfer request in December.
