Tottenham Hotspur right-back Vedran Corluka is on the verge of signing for Lokomotiv Moscow, according to reports.
The defender has lost his place in the starting 11 at the London club, and subsequently spent the second half of last season on loan at Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
The BayArena outfit turned down the chance to sign him on a permanent basis, but it seems the player has found another suitor for his services in the form of Lokomotiv, who are willing to shell out a sum in the region of five million euros for the defender.
The Russian side have already lured the 26-year-old’s former coach at international level, Slaven Bilic, to Moscow, and Jutarnji reports that the appointment of the trainer is one of the main reasons for the defender’s decision to move to the Russian capital.
The two clubs reportedly have a good relationship, following the successful transfer of Roman Pavlyuchenko to the Lokomotiv Stadium.
