Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli could miss Saturday’s match with Bolton after he was allegedly seen at a strip club on Friday.
According to English tabloid The Sun, the Italian was photographed leaving the premises of the ‘X in the City’ bar in Liverpool in the early hours of Friday morning.
While Balotelli had allegedly not been drinking, he was seen out at 2.45am, meaning he would have breached City boss Roberto Mancini’s strict curfew on players 48 hours before a match.
Before the Italian’s late-night antics had become known, Mancini sang the praises of Balotelli on Friday.
His answer was in response to questioning relating to his non-inclusion in the Italy squad that hosted the United States on Wednesday for poor discipline.
“Mario is the best Italian striker, 100 percent,” Mancini said.
“I hope after this week, with him not playing for Italy, it will help him in for the rest of this season.”
“We know Mario is a top player but he should improve his behaviour.”
