Arsenal are willing to sell captain Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona, according to reports in the British media.
The English Premier League club is believed to be open to offers for the Spain midfielder – but only at the right price from the club which Fabregas spent six years at as a youth squad member.
Arsenal have already rejected an informal offer from Barcelona and are bracing themselves for an improved bid.
Should the Gunners let their prize asset depart the Emirates Stadium would signal a big change in attitude after the Londoners rejected two offers from the Catalan club last off-season.
Ownership at Arsenal has changed since that period, and American billionaire Stan Kroenke faces the first big decision of his reign.
A source told BBC Sport in the UK that the club were expecting another offer from Barca, which would be accepted if the price was substantial enough.
Barcelona are already in debt, meaning Arsenal’s 40-million-pound valuation of the midfielder could prove a stumbling block in any potential transfer.
