Competition: Premier League
Market: Martin O’Neill to be next Leicester City manager
Odds: 1/4 @ Coral
Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill has been linked with a return to former side Leicester City this summer, with the Foxes having sacked Nigel Pearson due to “differences” between him and the club. City survived relegation in the Premier League last season under the latter, and have a long list of names linked with the vacancy.
Bolton boss Neil Lennon, former USA head coach Bob Bradley, and ex-Chelsea & Schalke manager Roberto Di Matteo are among the frontrunners to be Leicester’s new manager, but Republic of Ireland head coach Martin O’Neill is expected to be appointed shortly. He was manager between 1995 and 2000, winning two League Cups and earning promotion to the Premier League.
Coral are giving odds of 1/4 for the 63-year-old to be Leicester City’s new manager ahead of next season. The Republic of Ireland national team are set to allow the experienced head coach permission to talk with the Premier League side, and it would be a real fan pleaser seeing one of their most successful bosses back at the helm.
