Former German international Mehmet Scholl is to leave his job as Bayern Munich’s reserve coach at the end of the season, severing an 18-year association with the club, it emerged Friday.
“It is Mehmet’s decision – we leave on good terms,” the club’s sporting director Christian Nerlinger told the Muenchner Merkur newspaper.
Scholl, 39, is to devote hios attention to working as a consultant with broadcaster ARD.
He made his Bayern debut in 1992 and played 334 Bundesliga matches before retiring in 2007.
