Liverpool have come into some form of late, with the Merseyside outfit slowly climbing the table after rectifying a poor start to the season. Brendan Rodgers’ men are currently 8th in the Premier League table after 22 games, and are only two points off a top-six finish that would see them in next season’s Europa League.
The Reds are unbeaten in their last six league games, picking up 14 points in the process. They put on a brilliant home display in the Capital One Cup semi-final first leg against Chelsea that was arguably their best showing at Anfield this campaign.
A top-four finish is the objective for Liverpool, but with Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Southampton and Manchester United currently occupying the top-five in the table, Liverpool have stiff competition to force their way in.
But Liverpool’s form is giving reason to believe they can end the season in the top-six of the table, they just have given themselves too much work to do to make it in a Champions League place this season, and Betfair are backing the Reds with odds of 8/11 for a top-six finish.
