Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus believes Borussia Dortmund still have room for improvement after their 2-1 win over Werder Bremen.
The Germany international was delighted to have opened the scoring against Bremen in the Bundesliga opener on Friday.
But Reus was quick to admit that the champions are not at the top of their game just yet.
“I don’t think anybody can expect us to be at our very best from the beginning,” Reus told the club’s website.
“We saw that we still have a great deal of work ahead of us, but it was important that we won the game.
“Of course I had dreamed of scoring on my debut and that was very important for me, but it was more important for the team.
“I had goosebumps and I don’t think there is much more to say than that.”
Dortmund resume Bundesliga action next Saturday with an away game against Nuremberg.
