German media outlet Bild understands that Borussia Dortmund are ready to go the extra mile to try and persuade star player Marco Reus to remain at Signal-Iduna Park.

The highly rated forward may have almost three years left on his current deal, but there is a €25 million clause in his contract that will be active in the summer.

And with arch rivals Bayern Munich as well as other top clubs hot on the trail of the Germany international, it is hardly surprising the Millionaires are desperate for Reus to sign a new contract.

According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund are ready to make the 25-year-old their highest-paid footballer by offering him a new deal worth €10 million per campaign.

It remains to be seen whether Reus will eventually pledge his future to the Millionaires, who are 2/5 to defeat Paderborn at the weekend, or leave Signal-Iduna Park for greener pastures in the summer.
