Reyes reveal Sevilla move close

Atletico Madrid winger Jose Antonio Reyes has revealed that he is set to join his former club Sevilla.

The 28-year-old was not happy with his position in Gregorio Manzano’s squad and wanted to leave the club, but appears to have changed his mind when Diego Simeone took over the reigns.

Meanwhile, Sevilla and Atletico have reached an agreement over the player’s return to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, even if Reyes doesn’t believe this is the right time to leave Atletico.

“I have just found out that an agreement (between Atletico Madrid and Sevilla) has been reached, but I have not received any correspondence of the pact,” Reyes told AS.

“I have always wanted to play and win titles with Atletico, before returning to Sevilla, which is my home, but I am not sure now is the right time.”
