Both Derby County and Norwich City have been linked with a shock move for Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes, according to the Express.
Rovers are currently under a transfer emargo after breaching the Football League’s financial fair play rules and are expected to make a decision over the Scotland international over the next 24 hours.
Promotion hopefuls Derby and Norwich face each other on Saturday afternoon, and both are keen to take the former Huddersfield Town man on loan before then.
Rhodes moved to Ewood Park in the summer of 2012, and has since racked up one hundred and thirty-one appearances in all competitions, scoring sixty-six goals.
His last outing for the club came in Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter finals, and they are set to welcome the Merseyside club to Ewood Park for the replay next month.
Gary Bowyer’s men can now be backed at 40/1 to win the competition outright.
