L’Equipe is reporting that Saint Etienne and Lyon are vying for the signature of Odense BK defender Mohammed Diarra.
The Rhone rivals have been alerted of the player’s potential and they will attempt to lure him back to France in the summer transfer window.
Diarra began his professional career at Paris Saint-Germain, where he made a total of 52 appearances for the reserve side, scoring 5 goals in the process.
He moved to Odense BK in the summer of 2012 and has since impressed in Denmark’s top flight, featuring in 34 league games.
The full-back, who can play on either flank and even operate as a holding midfielder, seems to have done enough to catch the eye of France’s top clubs.
Diarra, 21, has made a total of four appearances for Guinea in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers and scored his first international goal in a 6-1 triumph over Mozambique.
