(GSM) – Franck Ribery has to sign a new deal or leave the club. Those words were used by Bayern Munich chairman Uli Hoeness to pressure the French midfielder to sign a new contract. Now, Ribery has warned the club that he won’t be rushed into signing a new deal.
Ribery, who has recovered from a serious knee injury, denies the claims that he demands higher wages. “Money is not the deciding factor,” Ribery told Bild. “It plays no role in my considerations. I have a very good living, earning good money. I enjoy playing for Bayern and have great team-mates.”
The France international has revealed on what conditions he’s prepared to stay: Bayern has to enter the transfer market. “I would very much like to win the Champions League, but our team probably does not have the quality. Right now, we cannot compete with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal or Inter Milan. They are stronger,” claims Ribery.
