Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has revealed club football is more important to him than playing for France.
The 29-year-old starred in the German side’s stunning 6-1 win over Lille in midweek, before netting in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.
Ribery said he was thoroughly enjoying his time at the Allianz Arena, where he has been since moving from Marseille in 2007.
“I have been at Bayern for six years,” the winger told Bild.
“Here, it is always good. Here I am happy and it’s fun. It is more important to me than the national team.”
Ribery has been called up the France squad to face Italy in an international friendly on Wednesday.
