Franck Ribery has signed an extended contract with Bayern Munich, tying him to the Bundesliga champions to 2017.
Ribery won the treble with Bayern last season, as the Bavarians sealed glory in the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and UEFA Champions League.
The 30-year-old has been an integral part of Bayern’s rise to the top of European football, and he insisted that he had always planned to resign with the club he joined in 2007.
“I’m very happy. I’ve always said, I feel at home at Bayern,” Ribery told the club’s official website.
“I have a good feeling for me and my family, and I hope it goes on like last year.”
Ribery made 43 appearances in all competitions for Bayern last season, scoring 11 goals and notching 22 assists.
