Ribery to hold talks with Fiorentina

According to a recent report from Sky Italy, former Bayern Munich legend Franck Ribery has held talks with Italian side Fiorentina over the possibility of a move to the club. The winger is currently a free agent after leaving his role with the German champions earlier on in the current summer transfer window, with some wondering whether or not he would hang up his boots for good.

However, it now seems as if he’s going to enjoy at least one more season playing at the highest level of professional football, as he prepares for a new adventure over in Italy.

Fiorentina had a poor campaign last year and almost paid the biggest price for it in the form of relegation. This time around it seems like there’s a bit more hope for their campaign, but at the same time, there’s a realisation that bringing in the likes of Ribery who is no longer in his prime could be a risk.
