Ribery wants Barcelona move

Bayern Munich midfielder Mark van Bommel says team-mate Frank Ribery is keen on a move to Spanish giants Barcelona.

Ribery has been linked with a move to several clubs including Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

“Franck wants to play for Barca,” Van Bommel told RAC-1.

“He is the best player in Germany and his style would suit Barcelona because it is based on technique and strong attacking skills.”

Barcelona ace Lionel Messi has admitted Ribery could be a good signing for the club.

“It would be disrespectful to the players who are already at Barca to talk about this,” he told Bild.

“But Ribery could play for any of the world’s top sides. He already plays for one.

“It is completely up to him whether he wants to leave FC Bayern or not.”
