According to a recent report from Manchester Evening News, the possibility of Declan Rice joining Manchester United was discussed while on England duty.
Rice has been at the forefront of West Ham’s unlikely surge towards a top four battle this season and while they’d love nothing more than to keep hold of him, it does feel as if he’s going to go on to pastures new at some point in the future.
Whether or not that’s during the upcoming summer transfer window remains to be seen, because if West Ham do manage to make it into Europe, you’d have to think Rice would want to be part of that journey.
If he doesn’t, though, you can bet Manchester United are going to put a lot of weight behind their efforts to sign him – especially when you consider how well their season has gone thus far too in the Premier League and Europa League.
