According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, West Ham United star Declan Rice has dropped a hint that suggests he could leave the club this summer.
The hint supposedly implies he would go in search of European football, but if that’s the case, he’ll probably have to wait and see how this current campaign finishes before making any rash decisions.
After all, West Ham are still firmly in the mix in the race for the top four, and even if they don’t achieve that goal, there’s a decent chance they’ll fall back into the Europa League which would be equally as impressive.
Based on those facts it’s hard not to think this is about the financial side of things, with Manchester United reportedly being the leading contenders for his signature.
One way or another, it feels like we’ve got a while to go before we get any closure on this story.
