According to a recent interview with Manuel Pellegrini, Declan Rice is not concerned about his perceived value in the transfer market as he believes that he can continue to develop with West Ham United this season and beyond. Rice was heavily linked with a move away from East London during the recent summer transfer window, but nothing ever really came to fruition. Manchester City and Manchester United both made it known that they wanted to bring him in, but they were unable to get a deal over the finish line.
Rice has featured in all of the club’s games so far this season in the Premier League, with the Hammers managing to go the last four games unbeaten after losing to City on the opening day.
Now, the question is whether or not Rice’s stock will continue to rise ahead of the January transfer window, when this issue will undoubtedly be revisited by many of the league’s top sides.
