The Express understands that Micah Richards has insisted that finding regular first team football will be the key factor as he considers his next move.
The defender is currently on loan at Fiorentina, though he has made just seven league starts for the Serie A side.
Aside from his spell in Italy, Richards has spent his whole career at City, where he has racked up almost two hundred and fifty appearances in all competitions in ten years.
He has scored nine goals for the club, and was part of the squads that won the FA Cup in 2011 and the Premier League title a year later though barely featured in their 2013/14 campaign, when his side won both the league and League Cup.
Liverpool, who with Glen Johnson almost out of contract are on the lookout for a new right-back, are leading the chase for Richards, who is may make one final appearance for Fiorentina in their final game of the season against Chievo on Sunday.
