Former Manchester United midfielder Kieran Richardson insists he wants to stay at Sunderland.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion, where he spent time on loan in 2005.
“I definitely want to stay here and the manager wants me to stay, too, so I’ll be here next season,” said Richardson in the Daily Star.
“This will be my fourth year here. I said when I joined I wanted to put down roots, prove myself as a Premier League player and settle at the club.
“I’m enjoying it here. I love the club, the area and the fans, who have supported me ever since I started.”
