Although it wasn’t the dream start Marco Silva was hoping for, Everton are a side that appears to be taking shape and they will be looking to pick up their first win of the season when they welcome Southampton to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

Shipping three against Derby, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Schalke on their pre-season tour, Southampton opened their new Premier League campaign with a 0-0 draw at home to Burnley, a match where they failed to create any real chances. Recording just two clean sheets in their last 12 Premier League away matches, this could be a tough afternoon for the former Stoke boss.
