El Mundo Deportivo understands that Barcelona are weighing up summer bid for Feyenoord full-back Rick Karsdorp.
Arsenal starlet Hector Bellerin remains the club’s number one target, but if the Gunners refuse to sell, the Catalans could turn their attention towards the Eredivisie defender.
Karsdorp has impressed after coming through Feyenoord’s youth academy, and he has so far made 73 league appearances for the De Kuip outfit.
Barcelona scouts noticed the 22-year-old when they made a check on several Ajax youngsters and they have continued to closely follow his performances.
Former Catalans defender Giovanni van Bronckhorst has also spoken highly about Karsdorp, and the La Liga side are convinced the full-back would be a good addition to the squad.
The problem is that few more top clubs are keen on his services as well, including Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Napoli and Manchester United.
