(GSM) – Albert Riera is expected to join CSKA Moscow this week. It’s reported that Liverpool have accepted an offer of around £6million from the Russian side.
Riera is due to return to training at Melwood today having served a club suspension for last week’s public criticism of Benítez’s management style.
The 27-year-old winger dubbed Liverpool a ‘sinking ship’ on the eve of their Europa League clash with Lille and also claimed Benitez held ‘something personal’ against him.
The Spanish manager will now bank around £6m by selling Riera to CSKA while the Russian transfer window is still open.
