(GSM) – John Arne Riise has revealed that he would like to end his career in MLS, once he has left Roma.
The former Liverpool defender, who remains under contract at the Stadio Olimpico until 2012, is keen to negotiate an extension to that deal later this month.
But the 29-year-old has revealed that it will be his last contract in Europe, as he has his sights set on MLS.
“We will talk about my contract with Roma again at some point in September,” the Norwegian told Vg Nett. “I think the monetary issue and the length of the deal will be a formality.
“In my future I see myself playing for Roma for a few more years and then heading to the United States. I really want to play in the USA, it is a dream I have had for a long time.
“I have not thought about a club yet, but where David Beckham is playing [Los Angeles Galaxy] seems like a nice place to live.”
