Croatian outfit HNK Rijeka have moved to confirm reports linking star striker Andrej Kramaric with a January exit.
The 23-year-old has become one of Europe’s most sought-after footballers of late having been in scintillating form for club and country.
The likes of Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, AC Milan and few other top clubs have been credited with an interest in his services, with some of them expected to make concrete moves in January.
And with the striker’s contract due to expire at the end of the season, HNK Rijeka sporting director Sreco Jurcic admits it is only a matter of time before Kramaric leaves.
“We are aware that a day will come when we will stay without Andrej, so it is no wonder we are thinking about his replacement,” Jurcic told Jutarnji List.
According to the Croatian newspaper, HNK Rijeka are planning an ambitious move for Fiorentina striker Ante Rebic, who has struggled for playing time while on loan at Leipzig.
Meanwhile, his international teammate Kramaric has been bagging goals for fun, having netted 27 goals in 25 appearances this season.
