Once teammates at Manchester United and forever great friends Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra have been involved in a sort of a social media spat over the past few weeks in the build-up to Michael Carrick’s testimonial.
First it was Rio Ferdinand who called out Evra for making a passionate team talk for Juventus – a team he is no longer a part of – asking why he never did such a thing while at Manchester United.
But the Frenchman got his revenge from inside the Red Devils locker room and with Rio in it, after the testimonial, when he questioned Ferdinand’s professionalism regarding his fitness. Evra claims Rio was never this fit when he was playing for United, adding he only does this for business now.
It’s all fun and laughs though between two good pals.
